Dr. Mateusz Korus, MLB
Attorney-at-law, managing counsel. Mateusz studied at the Silesian University, Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and LSE. In 2017 he obtained his doctorate in law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg with a dissertation on corporate law.
In the past he was u.a. in Germany for the international law firm Bird & Bird, as well as corporations METRO Group and AXA.
Mateusz is an attorney of confidence at the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Poland, a member of the German-Polish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) in Poland and the Scientific Association for Corporate Law (VGR) in Germany.
He is an expert in the fields of contract, corporate, tax, IT and capital markets law.
Mateusz assists international clients with their investments in Poland, including obtaining decisions on funding within the Polish Investment Zone. He advises clients on the implementation of R&D relief, Polish IP Box, other tax exemptions in Poland, as well as on company transformations.
He assists companies in all aspects of international business. Mateusz has an in-depth knowledge of the German legal system. He represents clients in negotiating complex business contracts (including M&A) as well as in commercial litigation and commercial arbitration.
Mateusz is a compliance expert with extensive experience in implementing international compliance programmes.
He is fluent in Polish, German and English. He provides comprehensive legal advice in these languages.

Weronika Wiśniewska-Żurek
Junior associate. Graduate of the University of Zielona Góra in Poland. During her studies, Weronika was vice-president for scientific activities of the European Law Students' Association ELSA Poland. Prior joining KorusLegal she completed a six-month trainee-program in the tax department of one of the largest advisory groups in Poland (one of the big four).
She specialises in investment support, tax reliefs and exemptions in Poland as well as in civil and commercial law. She advises on the implementation of R&D reliefs, IP Box and exemptions within the Polish Investment Zone program She assists clients also in all issues related to contract law (including e-commerce) and company law (establishment of companies, restructuring and mergers, company boards assistance). She supports compliance advisory and implementation projects offered by KorusLegal.
She speaks Polish and English.

Anna Staroń, MBA
Senior manager. Alumni of inter alia HEC Paris Business School and NYU Stern School of Business. She has a comprehensive experience in reorganization and restructuring processes.
She supports Polish and foreign companies with regards to acquiring financial aid in Poland. She advises with respect to reorganization and restructuring processes. Her area of expertise covers also internationalization and support of foreign investments in Poland.
She speaks fluent Polish, English and Italian. She communicates in German and French.
